Our Favorite Big Green Egg Recipe
This filet is so good we had to share it with the world! It’s included with the Big Green Egg Recipe Book and it feels so simple, you might shake your head at it – but we have never had such tender juicy steaks in all our lives. The difference is undeniable! You can find this recipe and more like it here on their site.
2-2½ inch thick filet steaks
2 bacon slices
Big Green Egg Classic Steakhouse Seasoning
Extra virgin olive oil
Set the grill up for direct cooking without a convEGGtor at 550°F.
On a perforated cooking grid, cook the bacon just until a little firm. Set aside.
Coat the steaks with olive oil and season with Big Green Egg Classic Steakhouse Seasoning on all sides.
Wrap the partially-cooked bacon around the edges of the steak; secure with a skewer.
Grill the steaks for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature is 125°F (or to five degrees below your desired temperature).
Remove from grill and let rest covered for 10 minutes.
Slice and serve!
